Atex approval on Keofitt valves
Keofitt valve bodies and valve heads have been assessed and declarations of conformity issued in accordance with the EC directive 94/9EC (ATEX).
The ATEX assessment has focus on those product groups that have coinciding mechanical features. All valve bodies are therefore assessed as one product group. The valve bodies all have the same mechanical features and vary only in their geometrical dimensions. The valve heads are assessed in groups of B, H, N and Q heads. The mechanical features vary from one type to the next, but within one type the general construction is the same. It is only the dimensions that vary within one valve head type.
All valve bodies and valve heads are assessed in relation to the risk for dangerous situations in potentially explosion dangerous environments. The assessment is carried out as prescribed in DS-EN 13463-1:2001, Non-electrical equipment for potentially explosive atmospheres – Part 1: Basic methodology and requirements.
To each assessment follows declaration of conformity where the producer and the producers representative with their signature confirm that the products are assessed in accordance with ATEX. In the declaration of conformity it is also stated which notifying body and which standards have been used, as well as the way the products should be marked.
